Saatchi & Saatchi Creates the #NutsForAHealthierWorld Programme to Help the INC Fight Malnutrition

The International Nut & Dried Fruit Council (INC) and Saatchi & Saatchi present #NutsForAHealthierWorld, a campaign to massively distribute the world’s best nuts and dehydrated fruits to people who need them the most.

The solidarity campaign, in line with INC’s mission to ensure the consumption of nuts worldwide, was presented at the XXXVII World Nut and Dried Fruit Congress which took place in Seville earlier this year.

Nuts contain basic nutrients for the human body such as fibre, vitamins and minerals and regular consumption has been associated with a lower risk of cardiovascular disease and type-two diabetes. Wouldn’t it be great if all those benefits reached the most needy people?

That is precisely what this campaign is all about. Through a video on the website, people from all over the world request users to share the video for a good cause: it is for those people worldwide who suffer from malnutrition and health problems. It turns out that every time a user shares that video, they are contributing a bag that contains 16 kinds of nuts from different countries.

The final objective is to donate one tonne of nuts distributed in bags containing the recommended daily intake to be handled by an NGO which will manage shipping and reception in the different countries. As the campaign progresses, that amount may increase if INC’s members join the initiative by making a voluntary donation of nuts.

In addition, 16 complementary videos have been created, each of them related to a different dried fruit. They feature 22 characters of different nationalities, who present dried and dehydrated fruits from their corresponding countries and give information about their benefits in our daily life.
