West Berkshire Brewery’s limited-edition pineapple pale ale, Tropic It Like It’s Hot, returns to the UK this summer. Available nationwide from August in 30L Keg and 440ML can formats, the brew is back by popular demand after debuting last year.
Brightening up the British summer with serious amounts of juicy pineapple, Tropic It Like It’s Hot 4.8% ABV, is light, fruity and vegan friendly. Brewed with Vic Secret, Summit, Chinook, Mosaic hops and then dry hopped with Sorachi Ace, copious amounts of pineapple juice is added during the brew – creating a beer with hints of pineapple and an undertone of coconut from Sorachi Ace hops.
Will Twomey, West Berkshire Brewery Head Brewer, comments: ‘‘We developed Tropic It Like It’s Hot back in 2016 and the response from our customers was extremely positive, so we’re excited to bring it back again. We know consumers are looking for different, interesting flavour profiles in beer and this limited edition is ideal for the summer months. The team and I are always experimenting with different styles and flavours, but always ensure that all beers remain well balanced and drinkable. The recent brewery expansion has allowed us not only to increase production and bring back popular limited editions, but also to experiment more and we have some exciting things in the pipeline.”
Designed to also pair beautifully with food, the citrus profile of the pale ale offers a natural pairing with jerk and Caribbean flavours, whilst the lively carbonation aligns to warming BBQ flavours.
