This Valentine’s Day, Oreo is giving all the people who aren’t exactly enthusiastic about the hallmark holiday something they can love: stories about awkward, unexpected romance starring the brand’s new twist on a classic dessert – the newly-released Red Velvet flavored Oreo.
Oreo, with the help of creative agency 360i, is kicking off its “Feel the Feelings” campaign on February 10 and it will run through Valentine’s Day to celebrate the release of the new cookie while building buzz and love for the brand.
The campaign centers on the idea that there’s something about the flavor Red Velvet that has a certain, romantic effect on people, no matter their age, personality… or relationship status. Six short videos will bring this to life by depicting the transformative effect of Red Velvet Oreo on a handful of mundane, everyday scenarios.
The videos launch via the brand’s digital channels (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr), with a new scenario released each day leading up to Valentine’s Day.
