Snickers’ popular ‘You’re Not You When You’re Hungry’ platform has served as the bedrock to their communication strategy for almost a decade.
In this fresh new take from Impact BBDO, Snickers gets users to actively engage with the much-maligned, often skipped YouTube pre-roll format.
YouTube pre-rolls are notorious for being skipped, so Snickers have created two specially designed films – “Wrestler” and “Rockstar” – which viewers can also play as a game, simply by using the pause button.
The goal is to grab a Snickers at the right time to help the hungry hero in the spot transform back to his non-hungry self.
